От: Lynn Horobin [lynnh@accellera.org] Отправлено: 13 апреля 2005 г. 18:50 Кому: general_interest@lists.accellera.org Тема: Video from DVCon: ESL, Functional Verification, Methodology Announcing three DVCon panel videos posted today by Demos on Demand: http://www.demosondemand.com/dod/feat_cont/seminars/dvcon.aspx Sessions include: * What's Next in Design and Verification Methodology? (Moderator: Stephen Bailey) With all the new languages and methods, what plans are there for adapting existing or adopting new methodology and process flows? Is there one right answer? Are there multiple paths? How important are languages? Is it feasible to create reactive testbenches? Where are the bottlenecks now? * ESL: Can the US catch up? (Moderator: Gary Smith) Driven by chipset and IP vendors, Europe has widely adopted ESL. Japan is fast moving into production on the merits of the SystemC "as-is"-with little methodology infrastructure. The US, however, lags as emphasis is placed on SystemVerilog. This panel reviews the status of ESL in the U.S. and the strategies for expanding ESL for modeling, design and verification. * Designing Quality In: The Better Design Paradigm (Moderator: Gabe Moretti) To help designers face extreme verification challenges, decisions must be made about organizational structure (separate design/verification teams vs. designers who also verify), specifications, reuse, level of abstraction, etc. This panel explores why so much time is spent in functional verification, as well as: what cultural and org changes must take place to bring quality back to the forefront of design? Where is the measurable proof of quality? How can we improve quality and reduce verification time? Again, the video sessions are here: http://www.demosondemand.com/dod/feat_cont/seminars/dvcon.aspx Special thanks to Demos on Demand who provided their production services and technology at no cost as a service to the community -- be sure to explore their technical content at www.demosondemand.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- This list is used to send periodic announcements on upcoming events and other useful information relevant to Accellera's activities and interests.
